Dr. Carlblom is an Arizona native and graduate of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, where she completed a two-year residency in general family practice. With a focus in gastrointestinal disorders, hormone health, depression, and anxiety, Dr. Carlblom’s integrative approach to medicine combines the best practices from natural and conventional therapies. She utilizes an array of modalities including nutrition, herbal medicine, acupuncture, IV therapy, bio-identical hormones, and pharmaceuticals in order to provide patients with effective and personalized care.
Prior to pursuing her medical degree, Dr. Carlblom received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California in Classical Flute Performance, and her musical studies impact the way she practices medicine today. Professional musicians develop both the technical competence required to play an instrument and the artistic skill needed to communicate emotions and meaning through their playing. As a physician, Dr. Carlblom draws on these abilities by continuously looking for new and innovative treatments to improve her technical skills, and by connecting with her patients on a level that facilitates open communication and supports the healing process.
